Israel Update April 7th 2009

Shalom Everyone,

I have had a lot of email asking for an update but we wanted to wait until we had concrete information before we sent out another one a disappointed anyone with yet another delay. Otherwise it would have been “we don’t know what to tell you.” But I can tell you this, we are leaving soon and we have a start date for the dig.

The Father delayed us in December by way of an ecologist so it would appear that he wanted us to dig in April. What is strange to me is why April? For those of us who study the Bible from a Hebrew point of view there are several interesting things in the Weekly Torah Portions and the fact that Passover is coming soon that are directly related to the Tabernacle of Moses…but there is still an odd timing that I don’t understand when compared to Biblical feast days. None-the-less, we will be starting very soon.

We will not be announcing the exact date of the dig until we have complete approval from the archeologist and are sure that visitors will not hinder the excavation. We don’t want people showing up in Israel trying to find us. It is not that we don’t love the company and want to share the information, but we will be entirely to busy for that on this trip. So…please do not show up unannounced and please do not try to find us. We will release information as the Israeli’s see fit, so please be patient.

There will come a time that we will not be able to answer calls and emails in a personal manner but please know that it’s not because we don’t want to…it is becoming impossible. If a discovery is made…it will be beyond impossible to answer each email or letter individually just because of the large numbers.

As I have said all along, there is no doubt that the code to understand the Copper Scroll has been broken, but who knows if it is still there? It would be wrong for me not to have tried to find out; so all of us, you included, have set out to do the impossible. A bunch of God fearing people of no particular faith or archeological training have joined together behind a guy with no credentials to search for the most important Biblical artifacts in the world. That is just wild. What is wilder is we are now going to begin the search in the land of Israel, testing the results of the research.

You have all been vastly supportive, kind and encouraging this entire time and there has only been a hand full of people that have been less than fantastic. There is no way that we can ever thank you all for the prayers and kind words. On a personal note, my greatest fear is that I will let you guys down or disappoint you in some way. You have all been so very supportive for a venture that has succeeded to this point “against all odds.”

Last week we went to Oklahoma City to speak at the state capital about the project to twelve state senators, all of which were Christian. They were greatly receptive to the progress and had many questions. We wanted to let some government officials know that we were going to Israel soon for accountability sake and…it worked out that we were contacted the next day by a local senator who asked us to come and speak at a prayer meeting they were having in one of the senate chambers. Before we left the capital we did a Copper Scroll Project update in front of the capital building which will be on You Tube at this address (http://www.youtube.com/user/Copperscrollproject ) some time tonight 7 April.

Now the important part…pray and pray and pray that the Father’s will be done the doors that should remain closed stay closed and the Door that must be opened “be opened.” What we have been striving for the last two years and four months is about to begin.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO OUR FRIENDS THAT WISH TO BE UPDATED...
